Čertovka, also known as the Devil's Stream, is a small, idyllic canal running through the Malá Strana quarter of Prague, Czech Republic, 2009.

HDR processed and tone mapped in Photomatix Pro from a single RAW file. Perhaps a little over-done, but the colours were rather dull in the original shot, and there wasn't much contrast either due to the fading light. Also see:

Your did really well in your post-processing and brought a simple scene to life, Keld! I noticed from Google Earth that the west of Prague is a large river-looking waterway that stretches all the way to north sea. Is the canal shown here part of the waterway I saw?

Thanks, Cecily. The canal is just a small and insignificant tributary of the Vltava river (also known as the Moldova river). You can find it on Google Maps too: [link]

Thanks for the info, Keld! Yes, it's what I noticed from the satellite. It didn't look all that insignificant in comparison to the size of nearby houses though!
