Well, it's not artificial, Jen. I use this HDR technique to bring all the shades of the colours out. They are contained in the RAW file (32 bit), but you don't see them in an ordinary JPG file (8 bit). The Tone Mapping process makes it possible to see all these shades even in a JPG file. That's pure magic :)

i dont know what HDR is. i've read articles, but it seems to go right over my head. i just know that when i see it, its beautiful.
when i say artificial lighting, i mean like even indoors. i have a hard time with anything other than outside. i'm weird like that.

Never mind, Jen :)

HDR stands for High Dynamic Range, but sometimes people over-do it, so it doesn't look natural at all. Take a look at the pictures in the HDR club. Some of them look really great, while others are way too much, like this one, for instance. I try to use HDR very moderately. If I didn't mention it, most people wouldn't even notice ;)

that pic was not attractive to me in the least bit. lol. how rude jen. :) yeah, the hdr thing - dont even bother. my brain is not meant to get it. lol. how sad. like i can see when its done, many times anyway, i just dont get how its done. i've given up with trying to figure it out.
