Great blue herons live all around me. I live on a river.

Here's a couple of shots of them that I took -- nothing as spectacular as yours, but I was glad to capture shots of them. They are quite shy. They are VERY large birds, standing nearly 4 feet tall.

Nice shots, and they look indeed large. Must be interesting to live so close to them. I shot mine in a public park where they were used to having humans close by. Thanks for commenting
